- 3 medium peaches, firm pitted and cut into wedges
- 2 cups strawberries, stem removed and cut in half
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- The juice of 1 orange, about 2 tablespoons
- 1 lemon cut in half
- ¼ cup Grand Mariner
In a medium size sauce pan, over medium high heat, melt the brown sugar in the orange juice & juice from one of the halves of lemon
Reduce the mixture for about 30 seconds; add the peaches and sauté for about 30 seconds to 1 minute (depending of their firmness) on each side
Off heat add the Grand Mariner
Return to the heat and flame the peach/Grand Mariner mixture until all of the liquor has burned off & the sauce thickens, about 25 to 35 seconds
Add the remaining juice from the other half of lemon & the strawberries, stir to combine
Remove from the heat & cool
Yields about 4 to 5 cups
Refrigerate until ready to use
Serve warm or chilled with ice cream or with shortcake biscuits
